I graduated from LeRoy High School in 1985. I attended Allen County Community College for two years and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree in 1987. I graduated from Emporia State University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.

I am licensed by the Kansas State Board of Education to teach 7-12th grade in American History, Geography, World History, Sociology, Economics, and Political Science/Government/
I began my teaching career in 1989 as a substitute teacher for several of the local school districts including USD 245. I was hired by USD 245 LeRoy-Gridley in the summer of 1990 to teach at the Middle and High School level. I taught 7th and 8th grade Social Studies, English, Spelling, and PE, and taught Psychology and American Government at the High School level. I was also hired as the Head High School girls' basketball coach, the Assistant High School football coach, Junior High girls' and boys' basketball and track coach.
I have been a teacher and coach for USD 245 for 26 years.
I am currently teaching American History, World History, World Geography, American Government, Economics, Sociology, and Current Events at the High School.
I am currently the Head Volleyball, Head Girls' Basketball, and Head Girls' and Boys' Track coach at the High School.
I am a Senior Class sponsor, and serve as SCCHS Honor Flight Coordinator.
I have been married to my wife, LaDonna, for 27 years. We have three boys, Nathan, Ryan, and Aaron. All three attended and graduated from Southern Coffey County High School. LaDonna and I live in LeRoy.
When not teaching, I enjoy bike riding, fishing, gardening, and hunting for arrowheads.
