I have teaching in the USD 245 district for 37 years. I started in 1980 and taught First Grade in LeRoy Elementary School. I moved to Gridley Elementary in 1981 and taught Second Grade for 18 years and then moved to Kindergarten in 1999. In 2009 I began teaching a combined class of Preschool and Kindergaten which is still my current position.
I am married to my husband Kerry. We have been married for 26 years. We have three grown children and 5 grandchildren. My husband and I live on a farm/ranch that has been in my husbands family since 1859. We have a backgrounding cattle operation, a row-crop operation and a hay business.
Teaching is my passion and I spend many out of school hours searching teacher websites to find new and interesting ways to teach my students. I love music and I am one of the musicians at my church. My husband and I love to travel the world and have taken many wonderful trips. I love sharing those experiences with my students as well.
